But a team of women are preparing to save it. The future of humanity hangs in the balance. ![]() Despite increasing restrictions on the freedoms of women on Earth, Valerie Black is spearheading the first all-female mission to a planet in the Goldilocks Zone, where conditions are just right The Earth is in environmental collapse. Even if they’ll need to steal a spaceship to do it. Wee Bear finds his empty bowl, his broken chair, and the old woman sleeping in his bed and cries, "Somebody has been lying in my bed, and here she is!" The old woman wakes, jumps out the window and is never seen again. The Earth is in environmental collapse. The end of the tale is reached when the bears return. Prowling about, she finds the bears' beds and falls asleep in Wee Bear's bed. The old woman eats the Wee Bear's porridge, then settles into his chair and breaks it. Assured that no one is home, she walks in. She looks through a window, peeps through the keyhole, and lifts the latch. She is impudent, bad, foul-mouthed, ugly, dirty, and a vagrant deserving of a stint in the House of Correction. As she has been sent out by her family, she is a disgrace to them. An old woman approaches the bears' house. One day they make porridge for breakfast, but it is too hot to eat, so they decide to take a walk in the woods while their porridge cools. Each of these "bachelor" bears has his own porridge bowl, chair, and bed. Southey describes them as very good-natured, trusting, harmless, tidy, and hospitable. In Robert Southey's version of the tale, three anthropomorphic bears – "a little, small, wee bear, a middle-sized bear, and a great, huge bear" – live together in a house in the woods. You could tell just by her smirk she was a “bad girl.”ĮTA: I’m wrong on the original ending. Kind of like Veruca Salt from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Regardless, my favorite Goldilocks book from childhood drew Goldilocks so she looked like an entitled little snot. ![]() I want to say the original ending of Goldilocks was that the bears killed her, but as time went on we changed that ending. Thought it could come in handy for others. This seemed like a more appropriate telling. Daddy Bear then calls Daddy Pig to come pick up George. He helps Baby Bear make all the beds again, helps Daddy Bear fix the chair he broke, and helps Mommy Bear prepare a new bowl for Baby Bear to eat. George gets lost int he woods and enters the house, does all the normal things Goldilocks does.Īt the end when George gets found out he apologies for everything and tries to make amends. Most of the time he picks George (Peppa's little brother). I tell the story set in the universe of Peppa Pig, and I let him choose which character is walking in the woods and goes into the house. So I decided to change things up a little bit. Somehow a tale about a kid who walks into a strangers house without asking, breaks their furniture, eats their food, messes up all their beds, sleeps in one, and then just runs away to never come back without facing any repercussions, didn't really seem like a good story to tell. Now I've never been a big fan of the Goldilocks story. He lately has been asking me to tell him stories without the books as part of his bedtime routine, and especially likes hearing Goldilocks and the 3 bears. I Just wanted to share a recent story time development with my 2 year old.
